You need a wide range of knowledge about public relations, program evaluation, board governance, fundraising and volunteer recruitment. Program Overview

Our MBA in Nonprofit Management and Public Administration combines the strength of the MBA curriculum with the deeper study of management issues and operations unique to nonprofit organizations and government agencies. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from experts in the field who bring their real-world experience into the classroom. They’ll immerse you in subjects like governance and board development, fundraising and budgeting strategies, volunteer recruitment, public and intergovernmental relations, financial and legal issues, program evaluation and fraud prevention.

Graduate Certificate

Our graduate MBA certificate (or “Mini-MBA”) is ideal for busy working professionals looking to stand out in their industry without committing to a full MBA. Pursuing this graduate certificate will help you upskill as you learn the important basics of business. We’ll give you a taste of what an MBA is like while you gain a competitive advantage over your peers.

Post-Baccalaureate students may apply to the university to pursue a graduate MBA certificate in the following areas:

Business Administration: complete 12 credits of coursework from the MBA core
Management: complete a combination of 12 credits of coursework from the MBA core and MBA concentrations
Concentration-specific (i.e. Accounting, Human Resources, Leadership, etc.): complete 12 credits of coursework from within one MBA concentration

Students may at any time transition into the MBA degree program course of study through the standard application process.

What to Expect

Because we want to make this program work with your schedule, we offer classes at our main campus, our off-site locations, and online. Our nonprofit MBA is designed for working professionals, which means you can get your degree in two years—while still working full-time. Plus, we don’t require the GRE or GMAT to apply.

Consider adding a bachelor's degree in public healthwhich will give you the skills and understanding to help protect and promote the health of the general population through prevention and health equity. Knowledge in public health will enhance your abilities to serve as an effective non-profit leader.

Entrance requirements

An awarded bachelor's degree from an accredited higher-education institution
The MBA program has a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75. (Students below a 2.75 may still be reviewed for consideration.)

Admissions process for graduate school

Application form available at www.cuw.edu/apply
- Select the Graduate option
One page essay which should include the following:
- Reason for obtaining a graduate degree
- What are your career goals
- Why are you choosing to pursue your degree at Concordia University
Current résumé of your education and employment experience
Official transcripts from all institutions of higher education
Brief video introduction recorded and submitted through your Future Falcon application
Provide a copy of your government-issued identification

When your application is complete, the file is forwarded to the Admission Committee for review.

Accepted into the program

An official acceptance letter will be emailed to you that will include your Student ID number
An email from your Admissions Counselor will be sent to you with Next-Step details
Password information will be sent separately from the Information Technology office which will provide you access to Canvas, your Concordia email account, and your student portal
Academic Advising Appointment: Once admitted, you may schedule to meet with your Academic & Career Advisor who will review your degree plan, discuss orientation steps, the IM体育 student portal, and assist with registering for classes

Graduate entrance exams such as the GRE, are not required
If you have completed graduate level classes in the last seven years and wish to have them evaluated for possible transfer, please contact your admissions counselor for more information

Non-degree applicants only need to submit an application to begin their admission review.
Academic transcripts may be requested from admissions to complete our review.
